Butter Tart Squares

Ingredients

Crust:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
1/3 cup white sugar
Filling:
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups seedless raisins or currants

Directions

Crust:
Blend together and spread evenly in an ungreased 8 x 8 inch square pan and bake at 350° F oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven.
Filling:
Beat the eggs;
Add the other ingredients (wash and dry rqaisins or currants before adding).
Spread the filling mixture over the base and bake at 350° F for 25 minutes.
Do not cut until cool. Cut in squares or bars.
Tastes just like butter tarts but so much less work.
