Butterscotch Peanut Treat

Ingredients

Crust
½ cup melted margarine or butter
2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
Main
2 Litres (8 cups) softened ice cream (vanilla or other flavor)
1 cup coarsely chopped dry-roasted (or honey roasted) peanuts
1 cup butterscotch ice cream topping
1 cup chocolate ice cream topping
Top
2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed or whip cream

Directions

Crust

  1. Add wafer crumbs to melted margarine and combine well

  2. Reserve ½ cup for topping

  3. Spread remainder into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch (22 x 33 cm) pan, press firmly


Main

  1. Spoon ice cream in dabs over crust, spread evenly

  2. Sprinkle with peanuts

  3. Drizzle both ice cream toppings over peanuts

  4. Cover and freeze for about 1 ½ hours


Topping

  1. Spread whipped topping over top.

  2. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture

  3. Freeze until firm
