Bean Salad

Ingredients

1 19 0z. (540mL) can green beans
1 19 0z. (540mL) can wax (yellow) beans
1 19 0z. (540mL) can kidney beans
1 19 0z. (540mL) can chick peas (garbannzo beans)
1 19 0z. (540mL) can Romano beans
1 large or 2 medium onion(s) cut in rings
1 green pepper, cut in strips
1 cup (250 mL) white sugar
1 cup vinegar
1/2 cup salad oil
1 1/2 tsp. (8 mL) salt
1 1/2 tsp. (8 mL) pepper

Directions

Wash beans thoroughly, set aside to drain
Mix together sugar, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper
Pour mixture over beans. Let stand in fridge overnight.
Feel free to add your favorite bean or leave out an undesirable bean
We usually use cider vinegar.
